Hey Dan! Did The Film Get Darker?

Yes folks Dan Radcliffe has been in an interview with the Herald Sun. And guess what he talks about? How "Dark" HBP will be. Yeah real dark. Dark enough for a PG rating! They do this every film!!! "Everybody is getting older. Its so DARK!" UGH! Anyway, if you care to read the interview here is the link. Enjoy the darkness!

We're #1!

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince has been named this years most anticipated movie by MovieFone. This most likely has nothing to do with the fact that Time Warner owns AOL, MovieFone, and Warner Brothers. And the fact that Warner Brothers makes Harry Potter films. No, this is not product placement at all. It is just a way to push movie goers in the right direction. Anyway, just a fun fact for you guys!

New Harry Potter Theme Park Poll

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter website has updated with a new poll. It asks "Which would be your favorite place to shop in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter?" The options are Honeydukes, Ollivanders, or Zonko's Joke Shop! You can take this poll here.

Slughorn Speaks!

The LA Time has a new interview with actor Jim Broadbent who plays Horace Slughorn. In This interview he says "[Horace is] a good man, a decent man, but a weak man." This, if you ask me, is an amazing way to describe Slughorn. I think than Jim will be one of the best actors in the Harry Potter films. He seems to know that character as well as the other adult actors in the Harry Potter films. These actors include: Gary Oldman (Sirius), Alan Rickman (Snape), Emma Thompson (Trawlaney), Maggie Smith (Mcgonagall), Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter), Kenneth Branagh (Lockhart), Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort), and the late Richard Harris (Dumbledore). Anyway, THREE CHEERS FOR JIM!

Toby Jones Returns as Dobby in DH

The Telegraph, a british news site, recently released an article confirming that Toby Jones will be returning to play the voice of our beloved house-elf, Dobby.

This brilliant is because this means there will be the Dobby scenes in the DH movie!

We're all excited here at Siriusly Potter, or I am at least. I personally am a huge Dobby fan. Go House-elves!

Happy Birthday Professor(s)!

We here at Siriusly Potter would like to wish a Happy Birthday to Imelda Staunton (Umbridge) and Professor Severus Snape, former headmaster of Hogwarts.

Imelda Staunton may not be your image of Umbridge but you gotta admit, she's a brilliant actor, and did a great job portraying Umbridge.

Severus Snape is the character that people absolutely love, after DH, or the character people still resent a bit, or a lot. But he's a brave man, even if he's fictional (he isn't, is he?) so here's to Severus Snape, professor, friend, and a hero.

Emma's Got Style

Emma Watson has been named the best dressed of December by "Teen Vouge" for her William Tempest outfit she wore to the The L.A. premiere of The Tale of Despereaux on December 7th. See her here.

Taylor Lautner Keeps the Part!

There was a rumor that Taylor Lautner would not be returning to New Moon. But all you Taylor Lautner fans (like me) can relax. Chris Weitz, the director of the new movie had this to say

"Weitz noted there has been speculation about whether Lautner could portray the character who goes through many changes physically, including growing taller and bulkier and aging 10 years. The 16-year-old Lautner has been spending time in the gym, trying to add 19 pounds of muscle.

Weitz added that Lautner is "emotionally right" for the part."

UPDATE: Stephenie Meyer has posted a note about Taylor returning as Jake on her website, along with a statement from Chris Weitz, New Moon director.

Half Blood Prince Gets PG Rating

Ain't It Cool News and Rope of Silicon are both reporting that Half Blood Prince has received a PG rating: "scary images, some violence, language and mile sensuality".

It's strange because Order of the Phoenix as well as Goblet of Fire received PG-13 and Prisoner of Azkaban being the last to receive PG. The actors are also claiming that the series is getting darker, so why exactly are we back at PG? And what exactly does this mean for the movie?

UPDATE: It has been confirmed on the MPAA (Motion Pictures Association of America) site that PG is the official rating. No changes, it's official.

Felton Checks out HP Theme Park

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) was actually at the HP Theme Park at Universal Studios, today! Although it's currently under construction, Felton had the chance to see the park along with his girlfriend (sorry Vanessa), and actually ride a few attractions, including the Dueling Dragons. Don't you just wish you could be him?

To your right is a picture of Felton in front of a sign for the new park.
