It's done!!!

Ok, the Half-blood Princde movie is finally compleeted, the actual film part i mean. There are stil minor details and bonus dvd discs to work out, but the actual watching part is done! Here's what Matthew Lewis (Neville) said sbout the film after he watched the completed version for the first time:

"Every year, we always say 'it's much darker, this one', but this one really is. It gets pretty heavy in parts," he said."But the balance they've achieved with the comedy... the timing is wonderful."

"Jim Broadbent [Professor Slughorn] is superb, Rupert Grint [Ron Weasley] is on top form and it is very very funny."

Also, CBBC has a new interview with Tom Felton (Draco), Matthew Lewis (Neville), James Phelps (Fred) and Oliver Phelps (George), where you get to hear their comments about the new movie.

Brain Wash I Tell You!!

"Where are you going sweety?"
"Hot topic, Mom."
"What are you going to get while you are there?"
"Isn't it obvious mom? I'm going to buy the latest Harry Potter lip gloss, duh! Try to keep up with the times..."

The DH Split

Deathly Hallows director, David Yates is still deciding where to split the movie.

He said: " We've had three or four different ideas about where to cut off the seventh film. Traditionally, the movies have ended with a death or a bereavement, some sort of passage or arrival. This time we think we will end with more a cliffhanger. Again, though, that's the thought as of this moment"

The movie will most likely be split at one of these parts:

1) The trio are caught and taken to Malfoy Manor

2) Dobby shows up at breaks them out of Malfoy Manor

3) Dobby is killed by Bellatrix

4) Dobby's funeral

Q: Who's the most colorfull person in the HP series?

A: Lavender Brown!!! (get it?? cause her name is two colors??? ha!ha! oh, i crack myself up..)

Anyway, news has it that she's back for the spaxmaticly, ludicrus, sirius (...as sirius black), amazing, spectacular, sad (poor fred...), happy (no more "you no poo"), battle in the final movie, HP and the Deathly Hallows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! Here's what she said about the try-outs in a recent interview:
For the final audition I was kitted out in Hogwarts uniform and driven in a golf- buggy to the Gryffindor common room. I had to improvise in front of a room full of people with Rupert and a paper biscuit for half an hour.

She makes it sound like a bad thing to get stuck in a tower room with rupert grint and a paper biscut... well, good luch lavender! We can't wait for the final battle!!!

Kreacher Casted...

At least, we think his voice is....

Anyway, Simon McBurney has been casted as Kreacher... we're guessing it's his voice that'll be heard in the movie.

You might recognize him from The Golden Compass or the Duchess.

Hooray for Kreacher! (Click on Picture!)

Harry Potter's at Court... Again

Adrian Jacob's estate filed a lawsuit against UK Potter publisher Bloomsbury today, claiming that JK Rowling stole the plot of Jacob's 1987 novel The Adventures of Willy the Wizard-No 1 Livid Land. From the Estate's press release:

Both books describe the adventures of a main character, "Willy" in Jacobs' book and "Harry Potter" in Rowling's, who are wizards, who compete in a wizard contest which they ultimately win. Both Willy and Harry are required to work out the exact nature of the main task of the contest which they both achieve in a bathroom assisted by clues from helpers, in order to discover how to rescue human hostages imprisoned by a community of half-human, half-animal fantasy creatures, "the merpeople" in Harry Potter.

Bloomsbury quickly responded with a press release of their own. Our friends at HPANA received a copy of the statement and passed it along to us. An excerpt:

...this claim is without merit and will be defended vigorously. The allegations of plagiarism made today, 15 June 2009, by the Estate of Adrian Jacobs are unfounded, unsubstantiated and untrue.

JK Rowling had never heard of Adrian Jacobs nor seen, read or heard of his book Willy the Wizard until this claim was first made in 2004 -- almost seven years after the publication of the first book in the highly publicised Harry Potter series and after the publication of the first five books.

Willy the Wizard is a very insubstantial booklet running to 36 pages which had very limited distribution. The central character of Willy the Wizard is not a young wizard and the book does not revolve around a wizard school.

This isn't the first time that JK Rowling has went to court, hopefully she'll pull through. All the best to her!
