Xeno Casted

Rhys Ifans announced on the Jonathan Ross show on BBC this Friday night (remember, England's ahead of  us) that he has been casted to play a roll for Deathly Hallows.

He did not specify a roll, but we can report that he will be playing Xenophilius Lovegood, editor of the Quibbler, and the widow father of Luna Lovegood.

That's a picture of him to the right.

Rumor has it that Clemence Poesy(Fleur Delacour) might return for DH, but nothing is final.

WB has neither confirmed or denied these statements yet. As soon as they do, it will be reported here!

I get the Quib mailed to me monthly. Lovely magazine... (ha! I wish there was such magazine...)

All-Time Coolest Heroes List

Entertainment Weekly published a list of 20 of the coolest heroes ever. Harry Potter is #4!
From the site (http://www.ew.com/):

"WHY HIM: Orphaned, cast out, and in the throes of adolescent hormonal revolt, J.K. Rowling's boy wizard (played by Daniel Radcliffe on screen) is the embodiment of the corny bumper sticker: Why be normal?
MOST HEROIC MOVE: Obliterating Voldemort by deploying his secret weapons: love, loyalty, and the good ol' Expelliarmus.
BIGGEST WEAKNESS: Misses his mommy and daddy."

Congratulations Harry! Number 4 out of 20. That's pretty good!
He was beaten by Superman (#3), Indiana Jones (#2), and James Bond (#1). Well I guess congrats to them too. Though Harry should have gotten first!

111 days until Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out!

These last few weeks, David Copperfield has been showing on PBS. It was Daniel Radcliffe's first movie role. Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall) and Imelda Staunton (Professor Umbridge) were also in it.

Location for Shell Cottage is Set

According to Wales Online, the location for Shell Cottage in Deathly Hallows has been picked. And that location is.... (drumroll) Pembrokeshire, England! (Cheers in the background).

The article says, "The Harry Potter crew is expected to be in the area for 50 days. A set will be built in Pembroke Dock and moved to a site in the dunes. Work is expected to start in the area after Easter. "

Also being filmed there? A new Robin Hood movie! I think it involves Kiera Knightley too.

DH: Part 1 Scheduled to Film

According to The Telegraph, reporting in an article about Pinewood ("The film and television production studios group") that Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is scheduled to begin filming.

The article says, "Films scheduled at Pinewood Studios this year include the next installment of Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

The article is originally about the up boost in sales for Pinewood, due to several blockbusters including Slumdog Millionaire. My mum was raving about it. It's rated R and so if you're old enough try it out!

New Images and Info on HBP Video Game

Worthplaying.com has posted some new pics of the Half-Blood Prince video game, including Harry and Ginny, the attack at the Burrow, Ron and Harry and few more.

The site also includes what we assume are the game tasks. Here's the first few:
1) Grime Buster: Clean up after Fred and George at The Burrow - (10)
2) Used the Pensieve: View Dumbledore's first memory of Tom Riddle in the Pensieve - (10)
3) Quidditch Captain: Assemble the Gryffindor Quidditch Team - (10)

I'm guessing the numbers in parentheses are EXP (experience) points.

New HBP video game information

As always, when a new HP movie comes out, a video game is not far behind. Previews of the upcoming game are now being released. The game is due to be in stores in July 15th and once again is being put out by EA games. According to the producer

"We started from a very solid foundation in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with a highly authentic Hogwarts and really focused on bringing more action and excitement to drive forward the narrative. This experience is enhanced with specific improvements such as full camera control, different times of day at Hogwarts, and improved navigational elements such as a player's ability to call up Nearly Headless Nick at any time to guide them through the various missions." Tom Felton and the Malfoys

Tom Felton recently gave a new interview to Feltbeats.com, speaking about his love of music. He admits to jamming out on set with fellow crew members, to the tunes of the band Draco and the Malfoys. Tom Felton plays guitar, and enjoys playing on set with fellow crew members. When asked about the wizard rock band, Draco and the Malfoy's, he said "I had no idea that people were actually making a living out of singing about, you know, Harry Potter!" Also Saturday the 21st was Gary Oldman's (Sirius Black) birthday. He turned 51.

Aberforth is Casted?

According to The-Leaky-Cauldron Ciaran Hinds might be casted as Aberforth Dumbledore, brother of Albus Dumbledore, for Deathly Hallows, presumably part two.

"While not yet officially confirmed with WB, we believe this to be correct. Speaking with reps for the actor, we were told expectations and hopes certainly are that Ciaran Hinds will be taking on the role," said TLC.

I here he's a good actor, so let's wish him luck!
