Rob Talks On His "Gaity"

No, Robert Pattinson is not actually gay, but according to GayWired.com who checked out the latest issue of GQ (of which Rob graces the cover), Rob is going to play the gay Salvador Dalí in his upcoming movie Little Ashes.

Acting along side "Spanish hottie Javier Beltrán [who] plays poet Federico Garcia Lorca"Rob is going to do some serious acting. 'Cause there's a hardcore sex scene. A little different from vampires, but we'll see how he manages.

The article (which can be accessed by clicking here) also has more on the interview with Rob and for more click here. But for the whole article pick up the latest GQ when you're waiting in the line at the supermarket. I'll update the post if it's somewhere online.

UPDATE: The GQ article can be viewed by clicking here.

Chicago Keeps the Exhibition

The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Illinois has announced that it is extending its run of the Harry Potter exhibition says Flick Direct.

"The exhibit, which was originally set to end its run on September 7, will now close on September 27, 2009. The extended run will enable more fans the opportunity to enjoy the experience in Chicago before it moves to its next location, which is still to be announced. The Museum of Science and Industry will be the only Midwest location on the exhibit's U.S. tour," the article said.

If you're in the Midwest, go now! Chicago is the closest it'll ever be to your hometown. Who knows where the next location is? The exhibition begins April 30 of this year. For more click here.

Lucky!

12 very lucky students and two teachers of Parmiter's School (in High Elms Lane) were chosen out of millions to tour the Harry Potter set at Leavesden Studios! Parmiter's School raised a record amount of money for Comic Relief ("Do something funny for money") and this was their reward. And to top it all off, the 14 will get to meat the famouse trio, and watch them perform a couple sceans!!!! I hope they like it! (and if they don't then they can just (minor swearing) cause I woud give both my feet, and both Divya's for that matter, to go there and see that, they are so lucky!)

By the way, I'm starting a new tradition of including a Fred/George moment with every post! so here it is:
"Mad-Eye Moody?" said George thoughtfully, spreading marmalade on his toast. "Isn't he that nutter-""Your father thinks very highly of Mad-Eye Moody," said Mrs. Weasley sternly."Yeah, well, Dad collects plugs, doesn't he?" said Fred quietly as Mrs. Weasley left the room. "Birds of a feather..."

Gred and Forge!!!!

Ok, so there wasn't much news news tonight, but I didn't let that stop me! Since Divya's cousin was born today, I decided to dedicate this post to my best mate (and partner in mischeif...), Divya! Now, for those of you who don't know us, Divya and I often get into trouble (miner, of course...blowing up toilets, annoying vanessa...), so about a year ago we began refering to ourselves with slightly nerdy, Harry-Potter-ish nicknames, George and Fred. Of course she made me be Fred, the one who dies, but i forgave her 'cause she lost an ear. So here, in honor of our George, are some of Fred and George's most amazing quotes and excerts from the Harry Potter series:

------------
Everybody finished the song at different times. At last, only the Weasley twins were left singing along to a very slow funeral march. (Book 1)
------------
"You haven't got a letter on yours", George observed. "I suppose she [Mrs.Weasley] thinks you don't forget your name. But we're not stupid - we know we're called Gred and Forge." (Book 1)
------------
Fred and George, however, found all this very funny. They went out of their way to march ahead of Harry down the corridors, shouting, "Make way for the Heir of Slytherin, seriously evil wizard coming through..." (Book 2)
------------
They were almost at King's Cross when Harry remembered something."Ginny--what did you see Percy doing, that he didn't want you to tell anyone?""Oh that," said Ginny, giggling. "Well--Percy's got a girlfriend." Fred dropped a stack of books on George's head. "What?" "It's that Ravenclaw prefect, Penelope Clearwater," said Ginny. "That's who he was writing to all last summer. He's been meeting her all over the school in secret. I walked in on them kissing in an empty classroom one day. He was so upest when she was--you know--attacked. You won't tease him, will you?" she added anxiously. "Wouldn't dream of it," said Fred, who was looking like his birthday had come early. "Definitely not," said George, sniggering. (Book 2)
----------
(ok, this one is Ron, I just had to add it)
Ron was staring at Pettigrew with the utmost revulsion."I let you sleep in my bed!" he said. (Book 3)
-----------
"Well...when we were in our first year, Harry-young, carefree, and innocent-"Harry snorted. He doubted whether Fred and George had ever been innocent. (Book 3)
------------
(Harry, just being greeted by Percy) "Harry!" said Fred, elbowing Percy out of the way and bowing deeply. "Simply splendid to see you, old boy-" "Marvelous," said George, pushing Fred aside and seizing Harry's hand in turn. "Absolutely spiffing." Percy scowled. "That's enough, now," said Mrs. Weasley. "Mum!" said Fred as though he'd only just spotted her and seized her hand too. "How really corking to see you-" (Book 3)
------------
"Yeah, someone might slip dragon dung in it again, eh, Perce?" said Fred. "That was a sample of fertilizer from Norway!" said Percy, going very red in the face. "It was nothing personal!""It was," Fred whispered to Harry as they got up from the table. "We sent it." (Book 4)
------------
"Don't be prat, Neville, that's illegal," said George. "They wouldn't use the Cruciatus Curse on the champions. I thought it sounded a bit like Percy singing... maybe you've got to attack him while he's in the shower, Harry." (Book 4)

...and that is all the room I have. Hope you enjoted it, there's more where these came from.

Mundungus...Finally!

Andy Linden, that's the name we were waiting for! They've finally cast one the most comical, crazy, and looney charactors of them all, Mundungus Fletcher! Most say that it is still only a rumor, but it was later confirmed by none other than Harry Potter's own agent, Polly Andrews. Here is a photo of the new M. Fletcher! Congrats Linden!

HP Stars on Red Nose Day in the UK?

This week BBC airs their Red Nose Day charity event in the UK this Friday. and this year may feature a few Potter actors and actresses.

Several past members of the films are included in the show of course, including David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr. GoF) and Dawn French (Fat Lady, Prisoner of Azkaban) as well as her husband Lenny Henry (the voice of the Shrunken Head) and Paul Whitehouse (Sir Cadogan).

All equally awesome.

Who will be on the event? Who knows? (BBC does). But we'll update when we can. Check out the program listing here. For more on the actual even, click here.

Ice Cream Man-- that's a cool name

First Pic of Dan from DH

Mirror.co.uk has a short article on the very first picture of Daniel Radcliffe from the Deathly Hallows filming. They say "The mist thickens around wand-wielding Daniel Radcliffe in a forest scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

The picture feature Harry walking around in the forest--looking REALLY old. Yeah, no kidding. Maybe it's the angle of the shot...

Thanks to Snitchseeker you can see it here.
